Arielle Jacobs, who's amazing as Imelda Marcos, looked and sounded radiant singing ''Here Lies Love's'' catchy title tune and ''11 Days'' on ''Good Morning America'' yesterday.
But it's so hard to convey the show's unique, immersive magic. I wish ''GMA'' had shot the segment at the Broadway Theatre with invited theatergoers (on the dance floor).
That's what ''GMA'' did when they showcased ''Moulin Rouge!'': shot it live from the Hirshfeld, with a spirited audience enjoying its remarkable cast and spectacular set.
Also on ABC, a couple nights ago, Juju Chang did a wonderful, 8-minute feature about ''Here Lies Love'' on ''Nightline'' with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, which is also now on YouTube. |
