I was told the composer Walter Marks (who is 89) stood in for him last weekend. He was in a wheelchair but used a cane to stand for his bow.
I checked Max's X/Twitter account and his Instagram and found nothing there concerning his condition (or the show either).
I have tickets for tonight and am wondering if he will perform.
