And Melissa, we're not the only ones. Last year, Cheyenne told Us magazine; ''My dream stage role would be Sweeney Todd.''
I'm sorry I missed his brief weeklong stint in late July in Sondheim's ''Into the Woods.'' He was filling in for Gavin Creel as the Wolf and Cinderella's Prince.
In his cabaret act, Cheyenne says he misses doing N.Y. theater and was worried a little about being rusty, not having been on Broadway in a decade, but he had a blast.
Cheyenne lives in L.A. with his husband, Jason, and their twins, who are about 6 or 7: Ethan and Willow.
Initially, he thought it might be too much trouble to take his kids to NYC, but Jason insisted: He wanted their kids' first Broadway show to feature their father.
And during ''Into the Woods,'' as ''Children Will Listen'' was sung, Cheyenne says his eyes locked with Ethan and Willow's in the audience. Awwwww! |
