| While I have utmost respect for understudies (having worked with dozens), I do find the term heroes a bit much. Mr. Daniels kept the curtain up no doubt, but his performance was what might be expected from one who had not stepped on a Broadway stage before let alone in a two character play. Did I feel a bit cheated? Well, to be honest...yes. This was certainly not a Julie Benko star-making moment. But few are. Still I did not ask to switch my tickets as was the option given when we were waiting to get into the James Earl Jones in the rain this afternoon. |
