SHE SOUNDS THRILLING. Is there anything this woman doesn't excel at?!?

If I didn't have such CONFIDENCE in her vocal training and technique, that sound would scare me -- I've never heard her lean into her lower register and belt that heavily. Her Kim was instantly legendary, of course, because she really kind of popularized that super bright / mixy high belt that transitioned so well into her gorgeous soprano.

Seeing her within the intimate Circle in the Square for the revival of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND just showed how astonishing this woman's instrument is. When she's singing mere feet away and every resonance is just PINGING... just an absolute wow. I'm such a fan.

I'd pay GOOD MONEY to see & hear her play Mama Rose.

I'd happily pay, and happily travel, to see her play Rose.

It's not just about her voice, either. The thing I remember most about seeing her in Miss Saigon the week it opened in London is her *intensity*. When she sang I'd Give My Life For You at the end of Act One, the sheer force of her performance pinned you to your seat in a way that nobody I've seen do it since has been able to match. I think she'd be a formidable Rose.
