| OMG! This is shocking news. I’m sorry I lost touch with him over the years. I did 2 workshops of his THE WAYSIDE INN back in 2001. His music was wonderful and I got to sing a duet with Emily Skinner that I’m glad to have a recording of. Other actors in those workshops: Chuck Cooper, Jose Llana, Brooks Ashmanskas, and Stephen Bogardus. People wanted to work with him. He was a lovely man. I was so happy that his show GGTLAM won the Tony Award for Best Musical. This is just awful news. He was a very good composer who could write in different styles. THE WAYSIDE INN sounded nothing like GGTLAM. I wish someone would try to produce it and other shows he wrote. He could also sing. A mega-talent. |
