I'd happily pay, and happily travel, to see her play Rose.
It's not just about her voice, either. The thing I remember most about seeing her in Miss Saigon the week it opened in London is her *intensity*. When she sang I'd Give My Life For You at the end of Act One, the sheer force of her performance pinned you to your seat in a way that nobody I've seen do it since has been able to match. I think she'd be a formidable Rose. |
