| I assume Kimberly will be the last of last season to close. Juliet and noise seem to be doing well enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if hadestown closes in January. | |

| Isn't Shucked an old school word-of-mouth success story? "Success" being relative (some thought it would last a month). I'm among the theatergoers who had zero interest until friends said, "I know you think you'll hate this, but the opposite is likely true." I went to a Wednesday matinee in late spring and had a swell time, and spread the word to others who agreed. Anecdotal evidence is suspect, but it's a show that pushed on with some genuinely fervent recommendations. | |

| Reading the piece in the Times today made me think of it. I know Peter and the Starcatchers moved there after Broadway, and so did Avenue Q. What others made that switch? Shucked strikes me as the kind of show that could work there--high concept enough to fill the smaller house, and not star driven. Curious what other Chatters think, and here is the Times link which discusses it possibly moving. | |

| I’m not particularly a numbers person, but it seems to me that Shucked would be too expensive to move to New World Stages. Peter and the Starcatcher and Avenue Q were both much smaller productions. Even Jersey Boys was on a more modest scale. | |

| According to the Lortel Archives, Jersey Boys had a cast of 16 or 17 at new World Stages, Shucked has a cast of 19 on Broadway. Kinky boots off Broadway had a cast of 25. I do not know what the size of the respective orchestras are or were | |
