| Isn't Shucked an old school word-of-mouth success story? "Success" being relative (some thought it would last a month). I'm among the theatergoers who had zero interest until friends said, "I know you think you'll hate this, but the opposite is likely true." I went to a Wednesday matinee in late spring and had a swell time, and spread the word to others who agreed. Anecdotal evidence is suspect, but it's a show that pushed on with some genuinely fervent recommendations. |
