| I saw a regional production of "Cabaret" many years ago (pre-Mendes staging) where the final image after the emcee's "ta-da" was a HUGE Nazi flag (full floor to flies and stage right to stage left) unfurling behind him, with a blackout immediately as it reached the floor. There were several seconds of stunned silence in the house before any reaction. |
