| The Act was a terrific showcase for LM, with a good Kander and Ebb score. But that was about it. The book was flimsy, and both Mark Goddard and Barry Nelson as the men in LM's character's life had very little to play. Nothing like full-fledged characters. But the show was entertaining and the book contains the first time I heard an old joke about NYC--something like "NY would be a great city if they ever finish it." |
