I didn't say it was a bad imitator. :)
Despite the tone of your response, I appreciate your telling me that it was a trunk song. Much of Road Show sounds like Sondheim starting to run out of new ideas, so I'm not surprised to learn that he finally succumbed to reusing old material.
What's your opinion of Road Show in general? Do you think it's up to the level of his earlier work? |
