"Smash" at the Kaye Playhouse

A friend heard me say that I liked the reading of this that I saw back in September. She saw that it was going to "rehearse" at the Kaye Playhouse starting next week and heard that tickets would be available for sale to the general public on Ticketmaster after the invited guests were taken care of. That sounded very sketchy to me, and I'm not even sure it's kosher. And there's no indication on the theatre website or anywhere else I could find that this is true. Sounds like she got some bad info, right? One thing that's curious, though is that the theatre has over 400 fixed seats in the orchestra alone. How are they planning to play to so many seats, cause it seems doubtful that they could rustle up so many guests. I think they're doing five of these things.
