I felt the same when I saw it at the Menier for cheap. I’m shocked everyone has gone crazy for it, both the show itself and this particularly sterile production. It proved to me that the material simply can’t work, no matter how great the music is.
That being said, you can’t argue with the audience, and they’re eating this up. 🤷🏼♂️ |
