That's not the extent of the definition of drag, but what is the point here in playing semantics. Cole identifies as non-binary, they are still not a female-bodied person and they are still playing a historical figure who was a woman married to a man.

It is not a drag show because it's a play (not because Cole is or is not a male or male-bodied person in a dress). And also because Cole is not a drag queen. Cole is a character actor who does nuanced and intricately observed characters in a comedy and camp context. I don't think drag, as commonly used, refers to someone who isn't a woman wearing a dress in a play to portray a woman, for comedy or otherwise. The comedy in this doesn't come from the disconnect between the performer's gender and the gender of their costume, it comes from the performance and the writing.

But also, in a sense, one could call it drag. But it's not a drag show.
