I’m not sure what you mean by the schedule changing in April.

As I was checking I did notice that many shows had a Sunday evening performance this week. It may be that some schedules were changed to take advantage of President’s Day thinking that many people might be in town or have off Monday or whatever. Or in some cases maybe the shows are doing Sunday evenings in the winter for a time and then moving back to just Sunday matinees. I didn’t do a comprehensive survey or anything but the normal Bway schedule is to have Sunday matinees but not evenings. So the shows that do both as their regular schedule (versus changing a bit around holidays) are the exception not the rule.

I do know that it is very unusual for a new Broadway show opening in April to have Sunday evening performances in April. Not impossible but highly unusual. Generally because the shows are in, or just coming off of, their preview schedules. As someone who is constantly trying to squeeze in more shows I am always looking to fill Sunday evening. I can usually fill it with something (shows at the Public and Playwrights are common) but that Sunday night show I manage to schedule is rarely on Broadway (although sometimes it is - I think Second Stage also does Sunday night shows on Broadway), and also rarely a musical (since most Sunday night shows are Off Bway and most of those are plays.)

A Sign of the Times, mentioned below, is a good catch. I had flagged it as a Sunday night option recently and just forgot about it in the context of this thread. And it’s the York, so while a jukebox show, it could still be interesting.

Teeth is currently scheduled to close 3/31. And sure, it’s possible it could extend into late April. But especially if I were coming in from out of town looking to fill that slot, I wouldn’t bet on it.
