Chicago had the tour in February 7 - April 8, 1979. Jeremy Brett was originally billed for Chicago but David Dukes took over this last stop of the tour. Raul Julia did the tour May-July, 1978- West Coast.
My parents took our family to see the Chicago show. The sets and costumes were phenomenal. During Act 3- the production used Smell-o-Rama to make the theatre smell like an old, damp basement. Very effective and memorable. I also remember the show being a little slow moving but then again I was only 14 years old.
The tour only ran a year. |
