Stritch tells the tale of looking in the mirror at her backside at 6 years old and when caught in the act her Nanny rushed downstairs in a panic and yelled to Stritch's mother, "come upstairs quick...Lainey's up there looking at her ass".
Before Stritch told this story in her show I remember a different actress told this exact same story but I can't remember who it was. Perhaps it was in a biography. But I do know that it was before Stritch.
