I don't dislike it as others do. I don't find the seats especially uncomfortable, at least as far as New York theatre seats generally go, although I do think it's true, as others have complained, they are a bit insufficiently padded. And the stadium seating negates the need for staggered seating, at least to my mind. You never, or at most very rarely, have a problem from someone tall or with high hair sitting in front of you. Of course, the latter is only very occasionally a problem nowadays, but I have seen it at least once in recent years. What do you in that situation? It's hard to say to someone, "Pardon me, but can you do something about your hair? It's so high that I can't see the stage."

I was disturbed to see at least one show there in which the actors all wore mikes, but that may have been because there were kids in the cast, and they felt that the kids needed to be miked. And once you do that, it gets odd if you don't mike everyone (although since the kids were only in the first act, and the adults were only in the second act, it might not have been such a problem). Maybe they put mikes on people in other shows I've seen there and I just didn't notice. I haven't seen all that much there.

Anyway, I wonder if the acoustics are bad, but I'm pretty sure no one wore mikes in the early years, and I don't recall ever having problems hearing anyone there. But I haven't really been there that much.
