The Welkin was the last production I saw before the first lockdown in the UK back in March of 2020. Perhaps that influenced my judgement, but it's a very fine play and one I've re-read several times since. It's a a bit like Twelve Angry Men but filled with terror and magic. There's a moment in the second act that is of such delicate and moving theatrical grace that it will remain with me forever.
I'm very glad that NY audiences will get to see it, and with such a great cast.
