Well they probably don’t NEED to fill 8x / week if operating costs are low. Forbidden Broadway has typically been 4 performers and a pianist, no? I don’t think they’d need to “up” the production value for Broadway - the shabby aesthetic is built into the humor.
My question is whether they’ll cast journeymen actors (in the off-Broadway tradition), or if they’ll try to pull in Broadway names for this. I could see it succeeding without any “names,” but I could also see some actors like Christian Borle, Bonnie Milligan, Leslie Kritzer, Christopher Sieber, and folks of that ilk having a lot of fun w/ Forbidden Broadway! |
