Paul Connell is sharing backstage horror stories of appearing in ''Willy's Chocolate Experience,'' which recently closed to disappointed kids and angry parents in Scotland. Connell, who was hired at the last minute, suspected trouble when the script he was handed was ''15 pages of AI-generated gibberish.'' More disappointingly, the show promised to be an ''immersive and enchanting'' Willy Wonka experience; in reality, it was a largely empty warehouse with a few plastic mushrooms. Actors were instructed to give each kid ONE single jelly bean and a quarter-cup of lemonade. And Connell, and the other actors who sounded like real troopers says there was ''no chocolate at the chocolate experience.'' Children were left to their own pure imagination.
