No one wins here. This was unfortunate all around. Taking 5 extra programs is a little nuts. The slap was uncalled for. But I have to say that the security guard thing feels like we've strayed into some kind of Seinfeldian absurdity - like the self-important diatribe by the library "Cop" or the episode where Elaine finds all doctors find her too "difficult." Incredible.

I've noticed a few rather impolite ushers in the last few years. The one that really got me was the guy with the loud high-pitched voice playing "cellphone police" a little too stringently - right over the opening music of Fiddler (the tour a few years ago). There were no cellphones interrupting the music at that point (and the people I saw him yelling at were already in the middle of turning theirs off), but the usher sure ruined the top of the show. But hey, just doing his job, right? Just glad he didn't slap anyone.
