ON CLEAR DAY's perfect first scene

I always thought that oN A CLEAR DAY ...... FOREVER had a perfect first scene as do SOUTH PACIFIC, CAMELOT, altho only SP is all-round perfect, tho all three have wonderful scores. i located a copy of the book, but I've hesitated on buying g it 'cause it was so pricey. the reason it was pricey is that it wasnt
a selection of the WONDERFUL Firedside
Theater,; you can easily find 2nd-hand copies of MAME,, SWEET CHARITY, GOLDEN APPLE. i even got a Fireside edition of TENDERLOIN from the dollar bin at dawntreader books in ann Arbor. Putting a cast album together with a Random House play was the closest the poverty- stricken out-of-town me could get to being there
