| THE GREEN ROOM 42 PRESENTS CELEBRATED SOPRANO AND 2024 BISTRO AWARD WINNER LISA VROMAN STAR OF THE BROADWAY, LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO PRODUCTIONS OF "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" IN THE RETURN OF HER ACCLAIMED CONCERT "INGÉNUE… INGÉ-NOT-SO-NEW" SUNDAY, MARCH 31 LIVESTREAM OPTION AVAILABLE THE GREEN ROOM 42 – the intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's "off-night hotspot" by The New York Times – will present the return of internationally acclaimed soprano Lisa Vroman in "Ingénue... Ingé-not-so-new!" on Sunday, March 31 at 7:00 PM. Vroman, celebrated as one of the greatest crossover sopranos of this generation, is best known for starring on Broadway, Los Angeles and San Francisco as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera. Her career spans decades and includes 64 different theatrical productions, 29 opera/operetta roles, and hundreds of concert appearances around the world. The show, featuring music director Shane Schag on piano, includes songs and stories of her life on the stage. The following evening, April 1, Ms. Vroman will be honored at the 39th Annual Bistro Awards, which will take place at New York's Gotham Comedy Club. Lisa Vroman has established herself as one of America's most versatile voices from Broadway to classics, on stage and in concert. Her Broadway debut was in Aspects of Love and she was the first to play both Fantine and Cosette in Les Misérables. She has starred in major productions as Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Lili Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate, Birdie in Regina, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Anna in The Seven Deadly Sins, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Laurey in Oklahoma!, Anna Leonowens in The King and I, Mary Turner in Of Thee I Sing, and Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella. Lisa appeared on PBS as Johanna in the Emmy Award-winning production of Sweeney Todd and was featured in the London Royal Gala, "Hey! Mr. Producer." She has played, sang and danced opposite Dick Van Dyke as Mary Poppins at the Hollywood Bowl Disney's 75th, and played the role of Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's play Master Class. Lisa is a frequent guest with symphonies including San Francisco, Nashville, Philadelphia, Dallas, St. Louis, Atlanta, Hong Kong, BBC Concert Orchestra, Boston Pops, Philly Pops, and the New York Pops. She is a graduate of the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam (BM), Carnegie-Mellon University (MFA), and is a George London Competition winner. She has acted as a judge in both the Lotte Lenya Competition for the Kurt Weill Foundation and UCLA's Walter Jurmann Competition. Jennifer Roberts also promises several hidden gems of rarely/if ever heard songs by the three-time Tony Award winner, with spectacular arrangements by Tedd Firth in varied styles, jazz-infused, a little blues and more. "Mr. Harnick supplied three of the songs himself, that were either never in print or out of print," Jennifer noted, while a friend of the lyricist provided a rarely-heard number from Harnick's "Hidden Treasures" album. Jennifer, whose regional credits include Sarah Brown, opposite Broadway leading man Tom Wopat in Guys and Dolls, is known for her heartfelt, entertaining and exhilarating shows that highlight her wide vocal range. She has been doing a very special retrospective series this season, and she's not done yet! As she puts it, "Well, I have always been a storyteller, and I love that aspect of what I do the most. I also have a great affection for the opportunities I have been given both on and off Broadway and also in recording, and some of the best arrangements I have done over the years come from that love.
