I'm not putting you on. I also wasn't intending to make a comparison between the two examples. I was just mentioning the Bali Ha'i example as yet another one in general. Sorry if it seemed otherwise.

As I said, the Ohio/Brahms example is a case where the rhythms are very very similar but not exactly the same. I was just responding to your comment "the rhythm is the same." The fact is, it's not, though it's very close. Are the two pieces very very comparable? Yes, of course, no opposition there. Are they exactly "the same"? Not quite. If you looked at the music and saw how the rhythms are notated, you'd be able to see what I mean. (Essentially, the long notes are proportionally longer in relation to the short notes in "Ohio" than they are in the Brahms.)
