| it's still a weird nomination. The National production was the pre-Broadway production (same design, staging, cast, etc.) and now that production is having a commercial run in London. It's not exactly a revival. The only similar circumstance I can think of was when Dreamgirls closed on Broadway and then two years later the tour stopped on Broadway and earned a best revival Tony nomination. |
