| I saw the first Broadway preview way back in the day. I was sitting in the rear mezz and Strickland climbed into the box to do his vine-swinging entrance right over my head. Other than that and the tinsel effect that made a waterfall come alive, I remember nothing other than being bored. The songs were all as generic as all those Frank Wildhorn public-domain shows of the 90s. |
