The inflation calculator I found online says that $0.15 would be $0.87 today... hmm. (I tried two different ones)

Either way, if you're getting a slice of pizza for $1.57 today, it's going to be made from the absolute cheapest worst ingredients. And don't get me wrong, it's probably gonna be delicious. But not only has the inflation rate become exorbitant, but you get a lesser quality product more often than not, for considerably more than the better product would have cost from back then had inflation been normal.

Even crappy pizza today, in nyc, in many places, is $4 for a slice of cheese.

The idea of a top ticket price today for a broadway show being even as low as $90 is inconceivable to producers.

Min wage in 1975 was $2.10, which would be $12.11 today, the current federal min wage is $7.25.
