Me and My Girl! Thoroughly Modern Millie! 9 to 5! On Your Feet! Once Upon a One More Time!

Those five musicals, plus many others, all made their Broadway debut on West 46th Street at the historic Marquis Theatre.

Now, in its 37th year of bringing memorable stories and life changing performances to audiences, 54 Below will be celebrating the Marquis Theatre's rich, legendary history with an all-star musical celebration.

Join us on March 19th for an evening of songs and stories, performed by the legends themselves who were lucky enough to grace the Marquis stage!

The celebrated host of the podcast Closing Night, Patrick Oliver Jones, will be on hand to share trivia and anecdotes about the theatre that has been home to such legends as Bernadette Peters, Sutton Foster, Shirley Bassey, Tyne Daly, Stephen Sondheim, and Jerry Lewis!

Directed and produced by Katy Hollis, Love Letters to NYC is destined to be a night of reminders as to why the hustle and bustle will always be worth it. Whether you're here for a day or a lifetime, these meaningful musical theatre songs will make for an evening that will certainly sweep you off your feet. Come for a night of falling back in love with the greatest city in the world.

Stage and screen legend Leslie Uggams returns to 54 Below with her hit show drawing from Broadway and beyond. Featuring musical theater showstoppers, American Songbook classics, jazz standards and current pop hits, this timeless romp through an exciting song catalog will have audiences cheering, "Hallelujah, Baby!" Expect songs Ms. Uggams has performed to great acclaim on Broadway, from shows including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jerry's Girls, and Hallelujah, Baby!, as well as your favorites from shows like Gypsy, Funny Girl, and Carousel. In honor of the late great Stephen Sondheim's 94th birthday, 54 Below will present My First Sondheim. This unforgettable evening will be an intimate journey through the immense and impactful catalogue of Stephen Sondheim.

Performed by some of Broadway's best singers, the performance will be both a concert of Sondheim's beloved songs (ranging from Anyone Can Whistle to Road Show) as well as a personal celebration, with each performer sharing a milestone first of theirs with Sondheim. Whether it was originating a role in a premiere of Merrily We Roll Along or being first exposed to the Sweeney Todd cast recording…each of us has a Sondheim "first" that we love to relive. After all, you never forget your first…

54 Below's new series is designed to make more shows accessible to fans all over the world. "Live from 54 Below" will feature LIVE performances of current shows on the calendar, streamed directly from Broadway's Living Room. Seven cameras will capture the excitement of being at the venue – all paired with the club's dramatic lighting and award-winning sound design. To recreate the live experience, all shows will be presented exclusively at the time of performance with an in-house audience and will not be available on demand afterwards.
