Platt's tour also played the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. That venue seats 10,000. I don't believe that his concert sold out there. However, because I thought about buying a ticket and checked the on-line map a couple of times, I noticed that it definitely was selling a hell of a lot of seats. Eventually I opted not to buy a ticket mainly because paid parking in that area would be very expensive, probably as much as the price for the concert ticket.
Whenever I see anything in the city of Chicago, I always drive to streets where there is free parking. Regarding Wintrust, free street parking is at least a mile and a half walk from the venue and that area is not particularly safe, especially late at night so I decided not to see the concert. |
