| McWhorter doesn't mention the elephant in the room, that his colleagues at Columbia University are being subpoenaed by the Republican House because of their support of Palestinians. The head of this Republican committee claiming anti-Semitism and raking McWhorter's institution over the coals is Virginia Foxx, anti-abortion and anti-LGBT. Sure, there are intersections of anti-Semitism and anti-zionism in university culture but McWhorter is doing nothing to stand up to these right wing politicians and their misuse of his institution as a stage for a Congressional show trial. A trial that Trump will surely exploit to his advantage. | |
