That's basically it.
I have my issues with this production, but in the context of this production Scherzinger's casting works. They do change one line that refers specifically to Norma's age, but yes, shorn of the period trappings and with a younger Norma at the centre it becomes a show about the way the entertainment industry discards women when they hit a certain age. |
