Since this was only the second how I have seen since the pandemic (after Funny Girl last year), I knew I was going to have a good time. And I'm back on ATC!
I really liked it. As most reviews stated, the star is the director and stagecraft. I could not imagine a better production
The cast was uniformly excellent and some glorious singing and harmonies.
And that rumble scene! Stunning. A real showstopper at Wednesday's matinee.
My very minor negative reaction: the score was fine and the country rock music was appropriate, but except for 2 or 3 standout songs,I felt the songs started to sound similar as the show progressed.
I'm back Broadway and ATC!
