Loudon was lovely in "Ballroom", but she was to her credit very restrained in her performance, not the over the top hilariously comedic performance she gave as Miss Hannigan in "Annie". I think "Ballroom" also had the aura of a show for a much older audience with its much more mature cast after Michael Bennett's relatively youthful "A Chorus Line"; there were problems with its structure, and I don't think Loudon was responsible for its short run. She was again tremendously funny in "Noises Off", a big hit, and some of her other performances.
