Ashford was about as natural and easy as a D&C. Her Curly Howard/Homer Simpson floor spin was so far over the top, so fundamentally disrespectful to both the audience and the piece that it kind of pissed me off.
Mrs. Lovett is not Mrs. Wiggins. She has a lot of humor, but Ashford was unrestrained and out of control. One of the worst performances I have ever seen. |
