I'd agree with you. Roger Bart over Ricamora, Nolan or Coles was a headscratcher. I'd add John Cardoza in ''The Notebook,'' too.
Equally baffling: that Ubeda wasn't ruled Leading. Or that the Tonys would diss Chip Zien's "Harmony" role of a lifetime and 50-year career on Broadway.
Plunkett and Harewood should've stayed in Featured, and to me, nothing that Harewood does in ''Notebook'' merited a Leading slot over Zien (or Ubeda). |
