Happy to share an abbreviated list. And to be clear, my niece is now 40 so some of these might not be appropriate for your 13-year-old. My first preference was to find a professionally taped version (SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, PASSION, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, KINKY BOOTS, SWEENEY TODD, COME FROM AWAY,, ETC). When that wasn't available (and it hardly ever is), I would find a decent bootleg (I know it's a no-no to discuss on here so I won't list any titles). In other instances, we would watch the film version and discuss the differences between stage and film (THE PAJAMA GAME, THE PROM, CAROUSEL, HELLO DOLLY!, CABARET, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, FUNNY GIRL, MEAN GIRLS, A CHRISTMAS STORY, REEFER MADNESS, ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, ETC)

We also spent some time on Fosse and watched Fosse/Verdon (or was it the other way around?), and LIZA WITH A Z. We watched the COMPANY taped concert version with Neil Patrick Harris and also the doc about the making of the original soundtrack.

Sometimes my nieces young kids have joined in to watch the show and give their opinions (they are 12 and 9).

It has been so incredibly connective and fun and I hope it goes on and on...
