Sting wrote a terrific Tony-worthy score for ''The Last Ship,'' but I also enjoyed the book by John Logan and Brian Yorkey.

However, I hated the new book by Lorne Campbell for the post-Broadway tour. It replaced Gideon's son and gave him a daughter instead.

For a show about fathers and sons, and how they grow up and what they leave behind, it destroyed what was so beautiful about the musical's message.
