Was there anyone lovelier or sexier in a ladylike way than Deborah Kerr. Here we see her first imaging dancing with her dead husband that then transfers to the King. She was doing more than just imagining dancing with the dead husband, if you know what I mean. Great.

But for sexiest, try From Here to Eternity. There's a scene where a group of men watch her walk across the army yard. They discuss her. I think it's the best scene I've ever seen that captures the way men talk about women, with a rapacious Burt Lancaster ready to pounce on her. (No wonder she flipped that boy in Tea and Sympathy.)

I saw her twice on stage: In the Philly tryout for Seascape. And in London in Candida. She projected the same qualities on stage as on film. Two of the most memorable events in my theatre-going experience.
