The Wilma's Tony is on the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the only local daily paper, above the fold. This is wonderful, but it's also a bit ironic, since the Inquirer basically stopped reviewing theater productions or covering much theater at all several years ago. This has been very frustrating as a theatergoer, because it is very difficult to find objective opinions about shows now. There is a website called Broad Street Review that has theater reviews, but it can't cover everything, and they don't always cover the big shows at the major local theaters. This has affected my theatergoing. I'm sure the local theaters are extremely frustrated with trying to get a potential audience to know they have an excellent show on their stages.

I was also surprised to find that no other theater company in Pennsylvania has ever won.
