It doesn't really count as a memento since I didn't see the shows in question, but I treasure my collection of Paul Davis posters from the NYSF. Those were classic images- Irene Worth in the Serbian CHERRY ORCHARD, Sam Waterson screaming as HAMLET, the parachuting soldier in STREAMERS and the iconic Raul Julia as Macheath in THREEPENNY- but I knew the productions from the posters, not the other way around.
(Forgetting the great Roy Liechtenstein-inspired MEASURE FOR MEASURE with Streep and Casale.) |
