That production of THE KING AND I was broadcast, I think, as part of LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER, rather than GREAT PERFORMANCES, and my understanding is that the contracts and rules are different. I think the amount of rebroadcasts is limited and commercial release is not allowed.
It was the same for the broadcast of the first mounting of the NYCO production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.
