I am loathe to weigh in on topics like this - and rarely, if ever, do. I worry I may regret it, but I feel this is important.
One of the challenges with electronic communications is that it’s impossible to know the intentions of the OP.
If we look back to the original post it’s a short sentence asking a question that could certainly be within the bounds of what’s appropriate on this board, it’s asking a question about the intersection of current events with a work of theater that’s historical. Just my opinion here, but I think those who object to this thread and desire the moderator to take it down are reading into and or projecting onto the OPs post and ascribing intentions that may or may not be there. It’s easy to do. And this is a particularly polarizing topic that evokes strong feelings.
Otherwise an appropriate topic, in my opinion. |
