| Exactly. I've only been able to see two professional productions of Barnum in the Chicago area over the last 35 years. The better of the two was at Prairie Lakes Center in a Chicago suburb in 2003. Scott Sumerak, a fine local actor and a great gymnast, was absolutely amazing as P.T. Barnum. Gene Weygandt played the role solidly (minus the acrobatics) in 2013 at Chicago's Mercury Theater. |
