For the record, Robert Brittan wrote the lyrics. But he and Woldin lost the 1974 Tony for Best Score to Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe because they added a handful of new songs to the stage version of ''Gigi.'' (This is also the only Best Score Tony that Lerner & Loewe ever won!)

However, Brittan and Woldin won the 1975 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, beating out ''Over Here!,'' ''The Magic Show,'' etc.

Even though ''Raisin'' won the 1974 Tony for Best Musical and ran 847 performances, it's probably among the least-produced Best Musicals of its era.
