It worked less well on tour with Brian Conley (and he wasn't the problem with it) - great songs, but incredibly slight, shallow book. Linzi Hateley was lovely as Chairy, there was nothing wrong with the production, but the show itself just isn't very good.

The cobbled-together-from-bits-of-the-score Act Two 'Barnum's Lament', which replaces 'The Prince of Humbug', is so dire that no actor could sell it convincingly.
