| Yes. And if you have messy personal problems and are having a difficult pregnancy, take a leave of absence, get your shit together, and get back to work. Announce a schedule and be done with it. The producers’ (and Mendez’) refusal to do this is the problem. No one begrudges a difficult pregnancy. No one begrudges a messy personal life. But people do begrudge flying in, spending hundreds on a ticket (and that’s just the balcony!) only to find out that an over-the-title star is out (something they don’t bother to tell the audience until just before the lights go down). Mendez should take time off to deal with her shit. She never seems to miss a TV appearance, by the way. |
