The Mosaic Theatre presents Completely Hollywood by Reed Martin, Austin Tichenor and Dominic Conti. The team of Martin, Tichenor and Conti gained notoriety as original members of The Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC), whose The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) ran for nine record-breaking years at the Criterion Theatre in London's West End, and has become one of the world's most popular shows, playing frequently in a variety of languages. In the 1990s, Martin and Tichenor wrote the company's second play, Complete History of America (abridged) and followed up with The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged), The Complete Millennium Musical (abridged), All the Great Books (abridged), and the troupe's most recent show Completely Hollywood (abridged).

Completely Hollywood (abridged) is filled with irreverent references to the world of film making, humorous examinations of plots and quotes from popular movies, and imitations of the stars of those films. The writers wisely spend time looking at the Hollywood movie machine, which never changes, rather than focusing only on current film references, which could, over time, date the script. The broad physical comedy, tireless energy of the cast, and countless pop-culture references make for a good time.

The production at the Mosaic Theatre features set-pieces cleverly made to look like black and white, movie-reel film strips, and their very own walk-of-fame with stars containing the names of the shows' actors, Antonio Amadeo, Erik Fabregat and Christian Rockwell. The three-man cast deftly weaves its way through comedically combined movie plots, and their mission to write the perfect script, with extraordinarily good pacing. They smoothly manage the difficult timing of the acting of a play that approaches stand-up comedy. Their constant watchful eye on audience response shows in the sound comedic timing of the show. Amadeo, Rockwell and Fabregat work seamlessly together as a team, with lightning fast costume and character changes. Christian Rockwell emerges as the most versatile comedian in this show. He is the most adept at getting to a completely new character portrayal the fastest, and has a gift for imitation. Those who are fans of the "Monty Python" meets "Saturday Night Live" comedy style of Martin and Tichenor will like this well done production of Completely Hollywood (abridged) at the Mosaic Theatre.

Completely Hollywood (abridged) will be appearing through October 3, 2010, at the Mosaic Theatre.
