Bea Loo
"The Voice Of An Angel"

KP Productions presents Bea Loo in her one woman show at The Showbox Theatre in Deerfield Beach. KP Productions is a small professional company dedicated to providing quality entertainment, ranging from one person cabarets to large full scale reviews. The company is owned and operated by Karen Pritchard. Born in England and trained at the Drury Lane Theatre in London, Ms. Pritchard was a professional cabaret artist at sea, and performed and taught on six world cruises before settling here in South Florida.

Bea Loo, billed as "The Voice Of An Angel," has appeared in five other shows with KP Productions prior to this one woman show. Born in Panama and raised in Brooklyn, Ms. Loo boasts that she attended the same High School as Barbra Streisand - Erasmus Hall! Her performing career includes national U.S. and Canadian tours, appearances in Moscow and her solo act aboard cruise ships. She now makes her home in South Florida. When not singing on stage, she shares her musical gifts as Worship Leader at the Christian Love Fellowship Church and works as Program Director for the Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center.

Ms. Loo's cabaret show is an eclectic mix of songs, some with and some without stories. Her smooth singing sound is at its best on numbers such as "I've Got A Feeling I'm Falling" by Fats Waller, and "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas (Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps)" by Joe Davis. However, she is also well suited for Broadway music, as is evident in her beautifully sung and acted "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from Evita, and "Bali Hai" from South Pacific. The entertaining, hour long show closed on September 11th with a poem of remembrance and a heartfelt America The Beautiful. A pleasant afternoon!

Bea Loo's performance at The Showbox was at 2:00 p.m. on September 11, 2005. For information on future KP Production shows, please contact Karen Pritchard at 954/571-2226 or on line at www.kpproductions.org.
